VOICES has many opportunities for you to be involved in the welfare of young people. If you can help in any way, please contact us.

Juvenile Probation in Wise and Jack Counties:

Volunteers are needed for the transportation and/or supervision of young people who are doing Community Service through Juvenile Probation programs.

Family Based Safety Services of Wise and Jack Counties:

Volunteers are needed to work with young people and their families once a week to help them be successful and provide a safe and stable environment for the children.

Other volunteer opportunities:

VOICES can always use extra office help, volunteers to help with fundraising efforts, volunteers to serve as ACTIVE and committed Board members, and volunteers to help with the recruitment and coordination of other volunteers. Please consider joining us, no matter how little time you can devote. Together we can make a difference in children's lives. Please consider joining us or refer a friend.

Important Info:

VOICES is required to perform background checks that include CPS history, criminal history, and sex offender status.

A prospective volunteer will need to complete an application and a background check through Child Protective Service (CPS), which requires a notarized signature. The volunteer will also submit copies of a valid Texas driver’s license, Social Security card. auto liability insurance, and a negative TB medical report with the application. The TB test cost will be billed to Voices through Wise Regional Hospital. See our Resources page for the necessary forms.

 

Once the paperwork is completed, the volunteer will be contacted for an interview. Once approved to become a volunteer, training will be provided by the VOICES staff. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you!
